Guest Post - Three Amazing Things About You by Jill Mansell

Today I have a Guest Review by Sarah Pritchard.

What They Say:

Jill Mansell's enchanting new novel will drive readers to seize life with both hands and make the most of every minute...

Hallie has a secret. She's in love. He's perfect for her in every way, but he's seriously out of bounds. And her friends aren't going to help her because what they do know is that Hallie doesn't have long to live. Time is running out...

Flo has a dilemma. She really likes Zander. But his scary sister won't be even faintly amused if she thinks Zander and Flo are becoming friends - let alone anything more.

Tasha has a problem. Her new boyfriend is the adventurous type. And she's afraid one of his adventures will go badly wrong.

THREE AMAZING THINGS ABOUT YOU begins as Hallie goes on a journey. A donor has been found and she's about to be given new lungs. But whose?

What Sarah Says:

Three amazing things about this book....It is beautiful (inside & out), sensitively written and uplifting.  I love all Jill Mansell's books that I have read and this is definitely one of my favourites!
When I started reading this book it was such a happy start and I thought oh no it is going to end in devastation.  I kept trying to guess what was going to happen and although I kind of did it wasn't with the characters I thought or quite how I expected.  The ending wasn't quite what I expected it wasn't really as predictable as I thought which I'm glad about.

Rory and Tasha are my new favourite couple!  I loved all the characters but Rory and Tasha were my favourite and I so wish that I could be Tasha and have someone do what Rory did to meet her again after their first encounter.  I also want to write to Hallie and have her solve any problem I ever have!  I want to live in this story forever! It captured me from page 1 and my only regret is that I didn't phone in sick at work to finish it in 1 sitting....I was torn between finishing it in 1 go and not wanting it to finish at all!  It is such a heart-warming story.

Jill tackles such a delicate issue of organ donation at such a devastating time in a person’s life and does in such an amazingly sensitive and beautiful way.  It was pure escapism and helped to put life in perspective at the same time.

I cannot speak highly enough of this book and I cannot describe how amazing it made me feel, I am sad I had to finish it and will definitely read it again!  I have never read a book twice but I will this one next time I perhaps feel down or like life isn't quite going my way.  That is how good this book is it makes me want to read it over and over!

20 days in to the New Year and it is without doubt my top book of the year!

About The Author

Jill Mansell lives with her partner and children in Bristol, and writes full time. Actually that’s not true; she watches TV, eats fruit gums, admires the rugby players training in the sports field behind her house, and spends hours on the internet marvelling at how many other writers have blogs. Only when she’s completely run out of displacement activities does she write.

Jill Mansell's books have sold over ten million copies and her titles include: Making your Mind up, Fast Friends, Good at Games, Sheer Mischief and Solo, among many others.

Thanks for a fab review Sarah!
