What I Say:
I would like to thank Neverland Book Tours and the author for sending me a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
At the beginning of the book we are told the background of Iysobel and Ziema story. Their mother is brutally murdered and their father who was left in a coma is the prime suspect. As the reader we find out more than Iysobel and Ziema know, there are mystical forces at work and all may not be as it seems.
The girls are brought up by their grandmother and each as different feelings towards their father Iysobel loves him and is desperate for him to wake up. Ziema is cold towards him and blames him for everything. The story jumps forward through Iysobel and Ziema childhood years, where mystical unexplained things happen, but the girls keep these things to themselves.
I love the way Gina touches on the mystical and magic of fairy tales, mixing different ones as the story weaves to its dramatic ending. If like me you like anything that is remotely different with even then you will love this. Personally I hope we get to see more from Iysobel and Ziema, I think there is so much more to tell about Ziema and she may not be all that she seems.
The way Gina describes everything is so realistic you can almost believe it all… A superb fanstasy story the only criticism I have is that the story wasn't long enough.

About the author
Gina Dickerson lives by the Thanet coast on the north-eastern tip of Kent, in the UK, with her family and playful Siberian husky. She is a full-time author and writes romantic suspense with a twist, horror, and fantasy because her characters refuse to play nice and wind up with more than a few bone-rattling skeletons in their closets.
As well as being the author of The Pennington Christmas Curse, signed with Limitless Publishing, Gina is the author of the murderous romantic suspense novel Unveiling Christmas, the twisted short story collection, Underleaf, as well as the fantasy, adventurous romance series Mortiswood Tales, and has also written fashion and shopping columns for a local newspaper.
When she’s not writing, Gina loves rummaging in vintage clothes shops, taking way too many photographs, and leafing through fashion glossies.
