Love is a Four Letter Word by Zara Stoneley

What They Say:
Georgina Hampton lost more than a mother when her parents split up, she lost the life she loved. But Georgie is grown up now, and she’s ready to fight to get it back.
But the cost of winning could be a high price to pay, when the man standing in her way is bad boy Jake Hardcourt.

Her knight in shining armour.

The one man who might be able to show her that love doesn’t have to be just another four letter word…

What I Say:

I would like to thank Harper Impulse for approving me to read this on NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.

When we first meet Georgie she is trying to leave a club but is being pestered by the unwanted attentions of a drunken guy.  Something terrible is stopped from happening when bad boy Jake rescues her.

Georgie's lives life in the fast lane but deep down she really is only trying to capture a time when she was happiest before her parents’ divorce.  By pretending to be a party animal she hides the fact she really is vulnerable and lost in the world.  She would even cause heartache to the hot bad boy that she just can’t seem to resist to get her own way.

As with all Zara’s book the tension between the pair sizzles off the page and even though both characters are messed up and their background seems to be holding them back I can’t help but like them especially bad boy Jake.  This is a different take on country life from Zara’s other books and I would definitely recommend it to anyone that enjoyed Stable Mates.

I will say you have to read this just for the scene on the motorbike and I have to ask Zara just one question.  Is this written from experience?

About The Author

I live in deepest Cheshire surrounded by horses, dogs, cats and amazing countryside. When I'm not visiting wine bars, artisan markets or admiring the scenery in sexy high heels or green wellies, I can be found in flip flops on the beach in Barcelona, or more likely sampling the tapas!

I write hot romance and bonkbusters. My most recent release, ‘Stable Mates’, is a fun romp through the Cheshire countryside and combines some of my greatest loves – horses, dogs, hot men and strong women (and not forgetting champagne and fast cars)!
