Gabe Stewart has everything he ever wanted. Mortal Earth is safe. He’s a super-hero Protector whose best friend is within telepathic shouting distance. And then there’s his soul-mate, Singer. He knew right away she was the one he’d been waiting for.
But Gabe’s world shatters when Singer professes she doesn’t love him. On top of that, his mother admits she’s been messing with his memory making him doubt everything he’s ever known. And just when it seems things can’t get any worse, his best friend in the whole freaking world, Kellen St. James, wants Gabe to stop being his Protector. Being a Protector is who Gabe is. What will happen if he’s not standing between the prince and danger?
When the man who’s sacrificed his freedom is faced with life alone, which path will he choose? Will he remain the last Protector? Or will he finally get the happy ending he deserves?

I would like to thank Neverland Blog tours and Stephanie Keyes for sending me a copy of this novella in exchange for a fair and honest review.

When I saw that Stephanie had written this novella to complement the Star Child Series, I could wait to dive back into to the world of Faerie and even better that it was written from Gabe's POV he is one of my favourite characters of the whole series.

On a whole, I like companion novellas but always feel that they should take the story further or complement the original series. A Faerie wedding does this to some extent, it compliments the series but I was left feeling like something was missing and bereft that I couldn't put my finger on what it was.  Was it the action of the other books?  I don't know as  all the other characters where there especially Kellan and Cali who I adore from the original series.  I had an overriding sense of Deja Vue with this book.

What I loved about it was it was more about Gabe and what he had been through as Kellen's protector and the struggles he faced.  I agree with Sophie (Reviewed The Book) that it is hard to talk about the story without giving away too much as this is only a very short novella.  Stephanie manages to squeeze a lot into the 70 pages but personally I wished it had been slightly longer and then we could get to grips with Gabe.

Would I recommend it? Most definitely but only if you have read the other books in the series otherwise this wouldn't make any sense at all.  If you haven't read any of the Star Child series and you love fantasy books as much as I do this series is a must read.
